Just some of the stuff I do...
1983
In January of 1983 I visited Tasmania, Australia while serving as an Electrician Mate on the nuclear attack submarine USS Seadragon, SSN584. I was based out of Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands. I also got to see some other places, including Hong Kong, Philipines and Guam.

I installed a new "Ring" doorbell. Ruthie decided to test it.
Me shooting one.

I inherited the shotgun from my dad. Once I gave it a good cleaning it turned out to be both reliable and accurate.

I bought a scope for the old Sears 22 rifle that I inherited. I used a laser bore sight to get it close then did the final adjusting on the range.

We had a bad storm with high winds on May 3rd. It did some damage to our oak tree in the back yard.

In my continuing effort to find things to do with my time off, I decided to make a squirrel picnic table. I used maple for the wood & stainless steel screws. I am going to screw it to our wooden fence in the backyard. Using maple was kind of a pain because I had to drill countersunk pilot holes for all the screws, but hey... nothing put the best for our squirrels.

Working (intermittently) on fixing cracks in the driveway. I didn’t expect it to be a lot of fun, but I didn’t expect it to be as much of a pain as it has turned out to be.
First you have to clean out the crack. I use something thin and sharp to loosen the dirt in the crack then blow it out with high pressure air.
The driveway caulk is not supposed to be more than 1/4 inch thick, so next I have to use “filler rope” to poke down into the crack. Filler rope is just closed cell foam tubes available in different sizes.
Finally, I can put the driveway caulk in the crack. It is pretty thick stuff. At least that pneumatic caulk gun is saving wear & tear on my hand. After applying the caulk I use wet fingers to smooth it.
